Seepage Pits

Vertical absorption for conventional systems where trench systems aren't suitable.

When Trenches Don't Fit

Seepage pits (also called dry wells) are a conventional septic disposal method using vertical excavations lined with perforated structure or stone, used for effluent disposal where horizontal trench systems aren't feasible due to lot layout, slope, or county approval. We design them to meet local codes and soil conditions.

Seepage Pit Considerations

  • Used where trench footprint isn't possible
  • Must meet setback and depth requirements
  • County acceptance varies — we verify for your area
  • Proper sizing based on soil percolation
