Contact Filtration Technology Explained

Finally, the effluent passes through the aerobic contact filtration media — the heart of the system — where a single MAC blower continuously pumps air through the packed media bed and simultaneously drives an airlift recirculation loop. This recirculation returns partially treated water back through the system, dramatically increasing contact time with the biofilm and producing a consistently high-quality effluent.
